“Because your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips will praise you.” Psalm 63:3

“Therefore, let us offer through Jesus a continual sacrifice of praise to God, proclaiming our allegiance to his name.” Hebrews 13:15

“Great is the Lord, and highly to be praised; and His greatness is unsearchable.”  Psalm 145:3

Our praise is a sweet sacrificial aroma to our Holy God and it is a deep blow to the pride of our enemy, Satan.

Our praise of the Most High God is an open rejection to the heavens, hell and the world of any other so-called ‘god’.

It is a deadly spiritual weapon against the powers of darkness.  Wield this weapon daily.  There is only One who is worthy of our servitude.  There is only One who is worthy of our worship.  There is only One who is worthy of our praise.

Praise is glorifying God for what he is and who he is.  He is holy, perfect, great, full of grace and excellence, merciful, patient, good, faithful, powerful, full of knowledge and wisdom, and his glory is worthy of constant praise that focuses on his magnificent character and his role in human life.

Some ways to praise God: read the Scriptures aloud, especially Scriptures that highlight his worthiness to be praised (the book of Psalms is full of praise verses), express joyfulness, sing, wonder aloud at his greatness, kneel and/or bow to his glory, play an instrument to him, be intentionally quiet in his presence, contemplate his ways, write about him, be excited, raise your hands in worship, celebrate who he is.  These are only some ways; we all praise him differently at different times based on our personality, mood or energy level.
